Johannes Ruzicka has been working in fundraising, philanthropy and the not-for-profit sector since 2002. He built up and headed until the end of 2004 the fundraising department of Technical University Munich, which spearheaded fundraising for public universities in the German speaking area.<\/p>\n

Together with his business partner, Johannes launched a fundraising consultancy at the beginning of 2005. Since 2009, he has been managing director of Brakeley GmbH, which emerged from his earlier company.<\/p>\n

As a fundraising consultant, Johannes supported around 100 not-for-profit and public organizations so far, including: RWTH Aachen University, Technical University Berlin, Technical University Vienna, University Graz, Vienna University of Economics and Business, EMBL \u2013 European Molecular Biology Laboratory, ESO \u2013 European Southern Observatory, World Meteorological Organization, World Robot Olympiad Association, phaeno Science Center, Alanus University for Arts and Society, Mudam \u2013 Museum for Contemporary Art, Association of the Friends of Ephesos, Opera Graz, Goethe Institute, Berlin Cathedral, European Center for Not-For-Profit Law, GIZ, Transparency International, Amnesty International, END Fund \u2013 Ending Neglected Diseases, UNICEF, SOS Children\u2019s Villages, Light for the World, Greenpeace, WWF.<\/p>\n

Prior to discovering fundraising as his passion, Johannes completed an engineering degree at the University of Applied Science Munich. He lived in the USA for the next five year, working as a project engineer in California for three years and returning to school to complete a two-year full-time MBA program at New York University Stern School of Business.<\/p>\n

Johannes frequently shares his fundraising experience at fundraising events, such as and the German and the Austrian Fundraising Congress and the IFC \u2013 International Fundraising Congress in The Netherlands. He is co-author of three German fundraising books and a publication of the German Fundraising Association.<\/p>\n

With his wife and three children, Johannes lives in Munich.<\/p><\/p>\n<\/div>
