Konstantin Reetz is CEO of Brakeley GmbH and Managing Consultant for the German speaking region. Before joining Brakeley he was CEO of the Germany based fundraising consultancy “Gesellschaft für Strategisches Fundraising”, which he founded with his partner Johannes Ruzicka in 2005. Prior to that Konstantin worked for over five years for the TUM-Tech GmbH where he helped building up the business units Technology Transfer and Fundraising and headed Fundraising thereafter. During that time he together with his team acquired and served clients like the Technische Universität München (4 years), the Technische Universität Graz, the Karl Franzens Universität Graz, the Hochschule für Philosophie and others. From 2005 till 2007 he was member of the University Board of the Universität Witten/Herdecke and in charge of Development. With Technische Universität München (public) and the Universität Witten/Herdecke (private) Konstantin served two out of three universities in Germany that have been awarded best practice within Germany.

Throughout his career in fundraising, Konstantin always put a strong focus on major gift fundraising and the management of change that this form of fundraising requires within an organisation. Konstantin has been helping to setup and professionalize fundraising in further organisations such as Medizinische Universität Graz, Alanus Hochschule für Kunst und Gesellschaft, World Wide Fund For Nature (WWF), Goethe Institute, Technische Universität Berlin and others.

Prior to becoming a fundraiser and fundraising consultant, Konstantin worked as a Senior Business Analyst for Roland Berger Strategy Consultants. Prior to this Konstantin completed his studies and doctoral dissertation in Molecular Biology at Technische Universität München.

Konstantin frequently speaks at fundraising events, such as the annual conference of Deutscher Fundraising Verband. He has been teaching on fundraising and sponsoring at Technische Universität München and the Fundraising Academy and is co-author of the third edition of the German fundraising standard „Fundraising – Handbuch für Grundlagen, Strategien und Instrumente“.
